Lion's Head Mountain Park has the one of the most beautiful headlands in Taiwan an is known for its ecological variety and beautifully topographical scene. Golden impression - Golden Spider Lilies Tour

Half century ago, the Golden Spider Lilies would start to produce many golden flowers around moon festival. However, with human's excessive harvest of Golden Spider Lilies, this unique and beautiful flower are threatened with extinction and preserved only in human's memory. Fortunately, the staff of Governor-General Hot Spring unconsciously discovers few Golden Spider Lilies surviving the harsh environment when they conduct an ecological study inside the Lion's Head Mountain Park. Hence, our staff starts planting hundreds of the bulb of Golden Spider Lilies inside the garden. With careful cultivation and proper care by our staff, this mysterious and rare species of plant marvelously starts to produce brilliant golden flower again. Hence, Governor-General Hot Spring now promotes our new vacation package called “Golden impression - Golden Spider Lilies Tour”, and we again sincerely invites every customer to appreciate beautiful local flower, to enjoy Jinshan hot spring, to try our seasonal cuisine, to ride a bike along the beautiful coast, and catch the crab, and so forth.

Each Golden Spider Lily has stem measuring fifty to eighty centimeters, and the bloom is giant and elegant. There are typically four to eight flowers on the top of the stems, and the petals of each flower tend to curve outward. Due to its golden petal, Golden Spider Lily is also called golden flower and originally is usual in northern coast of Taiwan, Keelung, and east coastline. Japanese are fascinated by Golden Spider Liliy's beautiful shape and golden petal, so they regard this kind of flower as the premier floral exports. The amount of Golden Spider Lilies exported to Japan reach the apex between 50 to 70, the merchants always bought the bulbs of Golden Spider Lily from the locals and exported those bulbs to Japan. Flower grower recalls that every bulbs can be sold for four dollars in Taiwan but twenty dollars in Japan. The amount the flower picked each can fill a truck, and the accumulations of flowers picked can fill a cargo container per week. Although Golden Spider Lily's bulb was severely removed from the soil and shipped to Japan, Golden Spider Lily became the most gorgeous decoration for living room in Japan.

Golden Spider Lily is sacrificed to revive Taiwan's economy, but the bulbs of Golden Spider Lilies around Yehliu and Jinshan are relatively small and measure only four to seven centimeters. However, these small bulbs are of high quality, so they weather human's excessive exploitation. Actually, although endowed with small bulbs, Golden Spider Lily around Yehliu and Jinshan are capable of producing larger and brighter flower compared to those that possesses large bulb. We take every participant to Shuiwei Fishing Harbor to experience the costal fishery and to appreciate the sway of the wild flower on the cliff. Then, we will across the Jin Baoli River to Xiao Liao Beach and Dingliao fishing village in Wanli. We will also pass the beautiful coast and Yehliu headland. Across the sea is the Yangmingshan National Park, Huangzuei Mountain, and Mt. Bamboo. The azure sky, Casuarina forest, and The Great Wall like multi-layers of sand wall weave together a unique and calming scenery. Hot Spring & Crab Catching One Day Tour
