Governor - General Hot Spring is located around old Jinshan beach and functions as a reception center in Japanese - occupied period,
so the title of our hot spring is named accordingly.
By visiting Governor - General Hot Spring, one can view eight picturesque spots including “Sunrise on Turtle Island”,
“Moonlight shimmers on Shuiwei Bay”,
“Fog hovers over Mt. Bamboo”,
and so forth.
One can also get to know the traditionally coastal fishery like Taiwanese Beach Seine and Torch Light Net.
The Governor-General Hot Spring
The old name of The Governor-General Hot Spring is “New Tower”,
which was under construction from May of the thirteenth year of Shouwa (1938) to September of the fourteenth year of Shouwa (1939).
Then, it took Taipei Taiwan Yen 30000 and had ever been quite grand after the completion.
After Taiwan reclaims sovereignty, New Tower was designated as a coastal defense fort.
While army were quartered here, they also blocked the source of hot spring.
New Tower also gradually became ramshackle after the retreat of army;
however, the hot spring of New Tower was endowed with the new spiritwith the establishment of The Governor-General Hot Spring in 2000.
Our hot spring water is rare as it originates from the depths of the ocean and uniquely contains sulfur and minerals from the Datun volcano.
Thanks to the wonderful location that is in close proximity to the coast,
our hot spring acquires clean deep-sea water from the time of its formation,
which is the reason why our hot spring tastes a little bit salty.
The salt contained in our hot spring can purify and brighten bathers' skin and has an astringent effect on them,
and the bather will definitely feel unprecedented relaxation.
The landscape varies with the season at the Lion's Head Mountain Seashore Park and the Mysterious Coast. Sauntering around these two attractions, one can find inner peace and happiness. Since Lion's Head Mountain, Guang Wu Tunnel, and the Mysterious Coast, are little-known place, tourist can relish a tranquil and adventurous journey.
